Traralgon / Walhalla
10th April 2021 – (BG)(D)
Join us on a special diesel locomotive hauled tour to Traralgon, Victoria.
Your Heritage Train will be hauled by former Victorian Railways blue and gold locomotives alongside a special guest locomotive.
Customers can join us for an optional tour with your choice of road connections to either the Walhalla Goldfields Railway or a winery tour.

Our COVID-SAFE Plan
The SRHC and our staff will follow a COVID protocol to ensure your travels with us is a safe one.
Passenger Information and Safety
In order to meet COVID-SAFE protocols, masks must be worn throughout the train trip and you should limit your movement within the train. Take advantage of the hand sanitiser provided or you are welcome to bring your own. The SRHC will follow all prevailing Government COVID rules.
The Seymour Railway Heritage Centre advises customers to be at the departing station around 15 minutes to departure.
Passengers joining us at Melbourne Flinders Street* or Southern Cross Station. Please note that our services are under ‘Special‘. Please feel free to ask V/Line or Metro Train staff to guide you to the relevant platform prior to depature.
*Only applicable for Gippsland bound tours / charters.
Customers are asked to contact the SRHC about refund options.
Legend / Glossary
- (D) – Diesel Hauled Service
- (S) – Steam Hauled Service
- (SG) – Standard Gauge
- (BG) – Broad Gauge
Wooden Bodied Carriages (with majority is on Broad Gauge) are limited to 80kph across the entire V/Line network.
Steel Bodied Carriages (with majority is on Standard Gauge) are able to reach speeds of 115kph*.
The SRHC will do everything to make sure the tours are running onto the scheduled times listed on the tours, but our heritage trains are subjected to the V/Line Network which has priority over us.
*Subject to the locomotive hauling the train and permitted track speed limits.
